★ ★ ★ ★ ★ おん祭の際に春日若宮様が一時的に滞在される場所でとても神聖な場所です。普段は物静かな場所ですが、おん祭の時期が近づくと建物ができます。入口の扉にある紙を埓(らち)と呼びますが、その紙を開かなければ、おん祭が始まらないということで「埒(らち)が開かない」のことわざになったようです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 春日大社摂社の若宮神社の祭祀〝若宮おん祭〟奉納芸能の舞台。「お旅所祭」では中央奥の芝舞台に仮殿が設けられ、前には3メートル超の大太鼓が置かれる。遷幸の儀で神霊が移動された後、「お渡り式」で保存会中心とした芸能従事者や大和士(やまとざむらい)、大名行列が県庁前から大宿所、御旅所へと練り歩く。「春日若宮おん祭の神事芸能」(国指定重要無形民俗文化財)の田楽・東遊・神楽・細男・神楽式・舞楽・大和舞ーの奉納が芝舞台上で日没から夜まで行われる。還幸の儀後、奉納相撲や能楽が後宴で披露される。芝舞台は〝芝居〟の語源とも
