★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This unusual bridge turns 90 degrees when ships pass through the waterway and connects the Amanohashidate landbridge and the Monju area.
The original bridge built in 1923 was hand-operated but was later made electric in May of 1960 due to any increase in the number of ships using the waterway.
If you see it turning, you are lucky!
