★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After stumbling across the dessert menu for Saryo, I had to check it out! It lived up to the great reviews & everyone should taste for themselves! It's a cozy place with very kind, patient staff. It's hard to resist ice cream, and mixed with marshmallows & granola was the perfect combination!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place near a nice-to-visit area to enjoy traditional Japanese matcha based desserts. I enjoyed my experience here without need to do any queue at all since we choose to sit on the terrace. Menu has no English but should be alright since there's pictures of almost all the items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As someone who adores desserts and matcha especially, I’d been wanting to visit this place for a long time. Most of the items on the seasonal menu were no longer being served during my visit, but still available were the chiffon cake and anmitsu. I decided on the chiffon cake from the seasonal menu and the fondu from the regular menu. I was so disappointed with the chiffon cake - the presentation might be nice, but the cake itself was heavy and dry. The fondu was nice but you only get ONE strawberry - it seemed a little stingy. I had no where near enough items to finish the fondu, so a lot went to waste. You can pay to replenish them if you wish. Basically, this place is a little pricey (as expected, though) and, at least on my visit, I found the quality lacking. I’d still like to return to try something else because I love matcha desserts, but unsure if it’s worth another try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to try japanese teas and sweets. The cakes are really good. The staff is nice. And great atmosphere. Really good for a cozy afternoon tea during the long winter days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked everything about this place. I loved both the vibes and the food! I’m usually always disappointed by the lack of flavour in many desserts here in Japan, but this was such a pleasant experience. The tart and matcha set I ordered was so full of different flavours and textures! It wasn’t even too expensive. I can see why it’s popular!! I will definitely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a cold evening we were queueing. It was amazing that the staff served us a hot water. We have never experienced that kind of hospitality before. It warmed our bodies and hearts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious green tea and traditional Japanese desert. We went here after New Years and there was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. We ordered one of the Matcha Sundays that came with a green tea set. We also ordered the hot matcha green tea. Both were delicious and enjoyable on a chilly day.
