J	Jo Jo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 忍性開基とされる古寺。決して大きくはない敷地ですが、そこに本堂、鐘楼、愛禅堂、金比羅堂、地蔵堂、墓地に複数の井戸までそなえた立派なお寺。本堂も重厚な作りで「いかにもなお寺」のたたずまいで、隠れ家的楽しさがあります。海のない奈良としては大変珍しい金比羅さんで有名で、おしろい地蔵という珍しいお地蔵さんもあります。かつては大安寺付近にあったという伝説を裏付けるように、現在も大安寺近くの八条付近に檀家が多くおられるそうです。ちなみに現在の地名の「南風呂町」というのも「いにしへの元興寺さかへし時の風呂屋の跡なり」(『奈良曝』)という由来でつけられたそうです。 An ancient temple that is said to be a ninja founder.
