★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 徳融寺の向かいにある浄土宗の尼寺で藤原不比等の孫・藤原豊成の屋敷があったとされ、当麻曼陀羅を織ったと言われる中将姫の生誕地に建っている。本尊は中将法如尼座像で、異香山法如院誕生寺が正式名。拝観には事前連絡が必要とのこと。創建、沿革は不詳だが、1826年に本堂を再建したという記録がある。大和北部八十八ヵ所霊場第六十番札所。
18/01/28、ならまちを散策したとき、事前連絡をしてなかったので、門前で引き返した。
21/07/03、この日も事前に連絡せず、門前から手を合わせただけだった。
It is said that there was a mansion of Fujiwara no Fuhito's grandson, Toyonari Fujiwara, at the Ninji Temple of the Jodo sect opposite Tokuyuji Temple, and it is built at the birthplace of Chujohime, who is said to have woven the Taima Mandala. The principal image is the statue of Lieutenant General Hounyo, and the official name is Tanjoji Temple. Prior contact is required for viewing.
