★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 常磐線の普通の駅ですが、無人駅です。おもったよりひらけていたのでびっくり。磐城方面からくると高架橋を渡らなくてはなりません。

駅前にはきれいな花壇があります。
東日本大震災の被害で国道6号が新しく内陸を走るようになってから、国道沿いで無くなってしまい、行く機会も減りました。

かつて全国一だった面積を誇る市だけに市内には常磐線の駅だけでも10あります。
その北側仙台方面から2番目の駅になるのがここ久ノ浜駅。
駅は無人化され寂しさが漂っておりました。
駅前には幸いにもセブンイレブンがあるのがせめてもの救い。
普通列車のみの停車なので特急利用だと北側だと広野駅、南側だといわき駅で乗り換えになります。
ちょっと足を延ばせば海もあるので夏場の18きっぷの旅なんかで訪れるといい思い出になるかもしれませんん。
