Hijiri Shrine - Tottori

There were many big trees and it was a nice shrine with a good air feeling. Omikuji was in the company office.

It's a pretty good shrine. It's a corona sword, and the shrine maiden is wearing a face shield, and it has a terrifying atmosphere.

A 100-yen Omikuji comes with a talisman. It is placed before entering the office.

It is called "Hijiri-san" locally because it brings good luck and prosperity. It inherits the Kirin lion dance, which has been certified as a Japanese heritage, and is dedicated to spring and autumn. The grounds are very quiet and calm.

In the afternoon with plenty of sunlight, ♿ ladies and caregivers visit from a nearby nursing facility. Some time ago, the person taking a walk passed from the north gate to the south gate. (Hijiri Shrine) has been revered by people since the time of the castle of the Ikeda clan, the lord of the Tottori domain. The current shrine was rebuilt in Hoei 7 (1710), and the Hijiri Shrine took over the lion dance dedicated to Tottori Toshogu by the first feudal lord, and spread the Kirin lion dance to the castle and surrounding areas. It laid the foundation for heritage. Since ancient times, (Hijiri Shrine) has held a magnificent Shinto ritual as a grand festival, and as a spring festival, the Shinto festival is held for two days, the third Saturday of May every other year (Evening Palace) and the following Sunday. (5/15, 5/16 this year) On Sundays (main festival), the floats (dashi) that each town is proud of are pulled from the sacred shrine and depart, whispers and dashing shouts parade through the town, and finally return to the sacred shrine and return to each town. On this day, many spectators applaud and cheer from the roadside in front of the station where the floats pass, Yoshioka, Kano, Chizu, Wakasa, and Suehiro all day long. Hanayo and celebrations are also flying around, making the festival even more exciting. (Hijiri Shrine) is a large ginkgo tree and a large zelkova tree in the Tottori City Preservation Forest designated in November 1978, and grows firmly rooted in the precincts so as to cover the shrine. The precincts are even more spiritual and new sacred. The age of the tree is 290 years or more in the designated year, so if you add 43 years up to the 3rd year of Reiwa this year, the tree age is 333 years or more. (Hijiri Shrine) will continue to be a base for the hearts of the citizens.
