As other reviews have noted, this shrine is surrounded by the city, with numerous tall buildings circling it. Easy access is provided by several train stations such as Nagatacho or Akasaka-mitsuke, and it's proximity to the National Diet Library makes it a must visit in this part of town.
Additionally, there is a very pretty torii lined staircase that is worth the climb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hie Shrine is one of the most beautiful shrines in Tokyo with stairs with the tunnel of red torii gates. when walking through it you will feel like walking into another world. That's what makes Hie Shrine special. The shrine will be recommendable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very authentic place. If you stay at Capitol hotel I highly recommend to go there by late evening. There is nobody and you can enjoy the quietness of the place with some very good location for pictures. It is in the middle of busy area but once you get there you feel totally calm. Highly recommended historical spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best devotional shrine in Minato city, Tokyo. Very beautiful Tori gates. Lifts are available to help people reach the top of the shrine. Very traditional rituals takes place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice shrine in center of Tokyo. Just behind the prime minister’s office and other government buildings. The shire itself was quite big and spacious. Overall a good stumble upon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited during sakura season and they have a few trees in full bloom on 3/31/22. It was not crowded during the midweek. They have several beautiful goshuin books and stamps to choose from. Also many omamori and emas as well. A long staircase lined with many red torii gates is nice to walk through.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The famous metropolitan shrine rooted from Kamakura era. Beautiful place, you can see unique holy monkey sculptures which attract younger visitors. There’s a car park for visitors.
