向かって右手側の水門付近に、自動車を停められるようなスペースがありましたが、段差がありましたのでご注意してください。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 霞ケ浦（西浦）北岸すぐ，野草咲き乱れる地に大鳥居と，台座の上に二柱の祠が鎮座していらっしゃいます。向かって左側には八坂神社，右側には橘郷造神社のお札が置かれていました。湖岸沿いには水神宮の祠がとても多いのですが，御祭神・御由緒はほとんど分りません。近くには太公望は何人か釣糸を垂らしていましたが，姜尚のような知略を有するとともに，地元の伝承に詳しそうな古老はいそうもありませんでした。
