★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は大日霊貴尊・武甕槌命。文安3（1447）年，日本武尊東征の砌，国見をされたゆかりの丘に鎮斎。明治14年村社列格。芹沢城のあった台地の南下（隣に広い駐車スペースがあります。「新撰組ゆかりの地」を散策するにはここに駐車すると良いでしょう）から石段を登って境内へ。すると緑の鎮守の杜に囲まれた端正な社殿に到着です。境内もそうですが，比較的近年に改築補修されたようで，瑞垣（これは古いままですね）の中の御本殿は石と木を融合させた美しき造営です。芹沢城の守護神として，芹沢の集落の鎮守として，古くからこの地と民を見守ってこられた社でありましょう。玉造の地には大宮神社が多いですが，大きな宮という意味で他意はない・・・そうです。
