You can see the first floor part for free. The storehouse has become an exhibition corner where valuable things are packed tightly. It is said that there will be ITOCHU's new employee training every year here in April. Former Toyosato Elementary School was also wonderful, but I think that this place is near here as well. For those interested in traditional Japanese architecture, rooms like the kitchen are still in tact and provide a rare look into the past. Family artifacts like the Buddhist altar are also on display, however all of the written information is in Japanese. The caretaker is very friendly though and will gladly talk you through most of the museum! Did I mention it's free??

The exhibits and staff shows the honor history of this family and the modern companies that breaks off from their business. This family supported many developing projects in Shiga and beyond. You will see many collections of traditional artifacts and living space that still in good condition.
