I think it will be difficult for people who are far from the parking lot to the entrance and who have difficulty walking on slopes.

The admission fee is 300 yen, but there were few exhibits and it was not attractive. The contractor had a meeting for planning. If you don't have time, you don't have to stop by.

I visited the other day. The entrance is just a short walk after entering the black gate of Kongorin-ji Temple. If you go left there, you will enter the hall. The "Ancient House" with the entrance has shops and some exhibits. At the shop, you can buy what you want by just telling the receptionist that the items are on display. In the annex, "Izanai no Yakata," permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions are held. The permanent exhibition dealing with Mr. Hata Yichi on the 1st floor is small, but you can learn about the history of the area. At the special exhibition at the back of the 2nd floor, when I visited, "patchy work clothes (which are still being held)" were being held. It is said that photography is possible for the special exhibition. I learned how the old people treated cloth more carefully and made it easier to use, and that "patchwork" is still treated as one of the themes of fashion design. Since it is a local museum, there are few exhibits on the whole, but it can be said that it is an important facility to know the area. I think it's a good idea to visit it together with the neighboring Kongorin-ji Temple.

On the way from Sekigahara along the Nakasendo, we stopped by the Aisho Town Museum of History and Culture, which looks like a temple. Admission has been canceled due to the fact that parking is free, admission is charged, and photography that is permanently installed inside is completely prohibited. It would be convenient if I could take a picture with the exhibition panel alone, which would shorten my staying time and allow me to read it later or compare it with the same theme in other buildings, but I was disappointed if I didn't know which policy it was.

It was a visit after the closing, but I knew for the first time that there was a very nice facility. I want to visit when I have time.

I went to a rare exhibition of KOKUYO. It's KOKUYO in the honor of the country! There are also fun goods such as Lake Biwa fish, Shiga specialties, templates for popping out boys, and Lake Biwa coasters (fashionable). It's rarer and more fun than the big names in the world. It's a pity that the transportation is inconvenient.

There is a museum on the left before the entrance reception, passing through the gate of Kongorin-ji Temple, which is visited every year for some reason during the autumn leaves season. In addition to the historic permanent exhibition of Kongorin-ji Temple, the exhibition that changes from time to time, this time the exhibition about the Shiga Festival, was especially fascinated by the beauty of the embroidery on the back curtain of Hikiyama.
