★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 改札でて右に歩いていけばすぐ温泉街です‼️
駅では駅弁は売ってませんが、向かいのお土産屋さんで売り切れになってなければ少し売ってます‼️
 If you walk to the right at the ticket gate, you will find a hot spring town! ️
Ekiben is not sold at the station, but if it is not sold out at the souvenir shop opposite, it will be sold a little! ️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR高山線の下呂駅は下呂温泉の玄関口。駅にはキオスクがあり、下呂温泉のお土産も若干置いてあるが、弁当はない。
温泉街へは飛騨川に架かる下呂大橋を渡っていく。同じ高山線の有名観光地・高山と違って、若い人の姿がずいぶんと多い。
Gero Station on the JR Takayama Line is the gateway to Gero Onsen. There is a kiosk at the station, and there are some souvenirs from Gero Onsen, but there is no lunch box.
To reach the hot spring town, cross the Gero Ohashi Bridge over the Hida River. Unlike Takayama, a famous tourist destination on the same Takayama Line, there are many young people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good JR station. There are coin lockers just next to the Information Center. So that you can keep your big size luggage in coin locker, and have fun in Gero area with just light backpacks. The street on the rear side of Gero JR station is very silent and full with Sakura trees and Sakura flowers. I took many photos with my wife. I love this station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small station with friendly and helpful staff. The place gets really crowded about 30 minutes before a train to Osaka arrives.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but very important train stop for all Hida JR to Takayama and Toyama. On the right of the train station is the tourist information center, where some of the staff speak good English and very helpful in giving advice.
