★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ｢古市神社」の拝殿の右側に銀杏の切り倒された後の切り株から銀杏の若木が育っています。(銀杏の雌木)
少し離れた大路川の土手にこの神社と同じ樹齢1000年の銀杏の木(雄木)からも同じように若木が育っています。
｢古市神社」が今の地に移ったのは平成8年だそうですが、それまでには大路川からの氾濫で神社が被災したり色々な試練があったようです。
今現在立派に鎮座されています。 境内の一番奥にある左右一対の常夜灯籠石には(天保14年～)と刻まれています。｢古市神社」はずっと以前から古市、古市にご縁ある方達の心の拠り所です。

Wakaki trees grow from the same 1,000-year-old ginkgo tree (the Ogi tree), which is the same age as this shrine, on the banks of the Ohji River, which is a little further away.
It is said that "Furuichi Shrine" moved to the present location in 1996, but by that time the shrine was affected by the flooding from the Oji River and there were various trials.
It is now well-received. It is inscribed in (Tenbo 14 years ...) in a pair of nightlights on the left and right in the innermost part of the precinct. "Furuichi Shrine" has long been the heart of Furuichi, the heart of people who are close to Furuichi.
