★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 200¥ per person, spent about an hour on the island. Dogs are allowed. On a nicer, sunnier day, we might have spent more time relaxing and enjoying the views.

Extremely cheap at 200 yen, and a very beautiful walk around the island. There are opportunities to get down onto the beach. Very nice place.

The entrance fee is 200 yen for an adult. But after 5 PM the ticket is closed and you can just go inside and walk for free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cozy island with a lot of wildlife and many great views. We spent quite a while there, long enough to find out that after 17:00 they just opened the gate for everyone to walk out (or in, for free). That's just what we saw that day though, no guarantees.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful walk around the island. The bridge connect to the island was rebuilt in 2011 with help from Taiwan. I like how every angles presents different views that’s all breath taking. Such wonderful place to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to spend quality time with nature. Only 200¥ entry fee. But because of excessive bushes at the edges the view was minimal and not a recommended place to swim as well. Matsushima bay is well-planned area so amongst trying city leisures, the island is a great option to break the monotony. The ferries can be taken to adjacent 100 or so islands. We were amazed to see that even the smallest island which seemed like not more than a difficult-to stand rock was also accessible with the ferries. The ferry schedule can be checked outside near the bay
