Personally I was very pleased at how easy it was for a customer to utilize the ticket vending machine to order a basic meal. Also, despite the name, the restaurant also serves udon noodles and rice dishes as well. The dishes displayed in the window all had numbers that we could input into the machine to pick our desired meal. I imagine there were side dishes and add ons that could also be ordered via the machine, but none of our group members tried it. We then passed the ticket on to the chef behind the counter and our meal was ready in quite a short time. We did order a side of batter-fried vegetables that was on the counter and paid for it directly to the man behind the counter. The shop had signs that requested customers to help themselves, suggesting that water could be poured from jugs at the back of the store, the dishes should be returned to the counter, and I noticed damp dish towels on the counter that I assumed should be used by customers to wipe up the tables before leaving. Overall, a great new experience in a local setting, serving reasonably good food.

Tables are "self service" so you will pick up ramen at the window and clear your table of dishes at the end of your meal. This is the Japanese version of "fast food" but much better quality than that name implies. This shop is open 24 hours a day. 450 yen = $4.03 US.....it was enough for the two of us to share with the addition of a tempura shrimp - delicious!!! Also remember, this place is CASH ONLY!

Open 24 hours, very fast service and all the toppings and customization you could want for soba and udon along with katsu, curry and rice options. Perfect for me when I want a quick, affordable meal on the way out in the early morning or on the way home late from an event.
