★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite dorayaki place! I always make a point to buy one or two when I’m in the Asakusa area. The bread is pancake fluffy and the red bean isn’t too sweet. The queue can get a little long, but the staff are really efficient. They also sell other Japanese sweets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic and high quality Japanese snack shop! Besides the super fluffy dorayaki, everything else is good, tried their black sugar cake, and a shoyu sauce biscuit. Queued for about 1.5 hours though, even it’s around an hour after it opens.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long queue to get this dorayaki. Visited this shop during winter and still queue about 45 minutes. The dorayaki is so fluffy but the taste is not so special. It did not really justify the time spent for queueing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is usually a long line for the shop. The pancake being jam filled sandwiches are the number one best-selling in Japan. The pancakes are more like fluffy chiffon texture rather than the traditional pancake sandwiches. The bean filling is quite sweet. At 350 yen each, it's bit of a splurge I'd say. I myself prefer the white bean wafer Monaka sandwich.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you’re in the area, picking up a handful of these is a nice treat but not anything to go out of the way for. Caution: the long queue of Japanese people is for the pancakes with red bean or sweet potato, which is kept in the front left corner of the store. The queue is not for the many gluten-free red bean and sweet potato biscuit things that cover the counter. Not knowing what to purchase (and thinking that the biscuits were front and center) we picked up a bunch of the biscuits and only four of the pancakes. Ask for dorayaki and you will not go wrong.
For those GF people, the biscuits are a decent alternative but are incomparable to the dorayaki.
In the photo, the left hand item is the dorayaki, the unpopular biscuit thing is on the right.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Dorayaki, red bean cakes! There is a huge line at Asakusa but it’s definitely worth the wait. The dorayaki here are very thick, its like pancakes put together with red bean paste. You could choose black bean or white bean and both are amazingly good but the black is more popular. White is a bit sweeter so if you are a sweet tooth, recommend trying the white also. You can get these at Shibuya Seibu on Saturday without lining up too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best Tokyo souvenior, "Dorayaki" which is a round pancakes with sweet red bean paste. It's so fluffy and fresh taste. It lasts just 3 days. So you had better eat quickly!! :))

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The queue was long but quite fast, many local shopped at this place so I thought it would be a good idea to try some.. I tried the dorayaki, 360yen and they have 2 types : red and white bean paste. For me the taste was kinda similar, the bun was morr moist than the regular dorayaki, but it's just so so.. It's good though, but I don't think it's really that special..
