Zen garden and grounds. Very relaxing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice temple within the Kodaiji complex. The scenic is average comparing to Kyoto’s main temples. However, the place has a lot of activities for meditation available e.g., stone garden making, zen meditation, tracing the drawing of three-faces god.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful garden and landscaping, rock garden is well-kept and a great place to relax. Very peaceful walking route and interesting historical landmarks and art. The brochure is very informative and available in multiple languages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty and quieter temple which is a sub temple of Kodaiji. Costs 500 yen or 900 with entry to Kodaiji. It also includes entry into a small museum nearby

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was beautiful. And you actually get to walk through it, not just the outer perimeter. Amazing white dragon painting on the wall inside. Very nice large porch overlooking the back garden towards the end. ¥550 yen entry fee for adults was worth it. And I typically don't like visiting temples and shrines.
