しかし、地図で見ると愛宕堰から始まって、かなり遠くまで続いているように見えます。
これ程大規模な堀なら、先人さんが仰るように、一大プロジェクトだったのでしょうか。
関わった人達に敬礼。
石碑とか、建ってないんですかね。
無いなら一つくらい建てても、と思うのですが...。如何でしょう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつて六郷堀と七郷堀は別々の所から取水していました。渇水期になると下流側から取水する六郷堀には水が流れなくなり、六郷村と七郷村では水争いが絶えませんでした。
そこで1954年、愛宕堰から取った水を分水堰で2つに分ける方式に改められました。
Rokusohori and Shisanohori used to take water from different places. During the drought season, the water did not flow to Rokugohori, which was drained from the downstream side, and there was no end to water competition in Rokugo and Shigo villages.
Therefore, in 1954, it was changed to the method to divide the water taken from Ehime into two with a watershed.

昔は堀があって
全て道は狭かったのだ
自動車社会になり
堀には全て蓋されてしまいました
