The place where Kukai, who returned from China, lived here and where he taught esoteric Buddhism most clearly, an early story of the Heian period.

It is a very elegant building from the Momoyama period.
A big wife with a thatched roof in the front and a series of small squares with a lattice of vines (Shitomido, the door that opens above) creates a calm atmosphere.
In such a stylish building, I would like to sit back and drink a delicious tea. It can't be forgiven.
In fact, it is a hall where the statue of Kobodaishi is enshrined.

Architecture from the Momoyama period. It is a wood-shingle-roofed Irimoya-style building, and a hidden treasure, Kobo Daishi statue, is enshrined inside (the door opens only when it is open to the public). It is designated as a national important cultural property.

The Daishido of Jingoji Temple is said to have been built during the Momoyama period and is designated as an important cultural property. The statue of Kobo Daishi, a plate carving made in the 4th year of Shoan (1302), is enshrined. I saw it in 2008. It seems that the door will open from November 1st to 7th every year.
