h	hnoi latthitham on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most simple, most delicious meal I have had in Kyoto, by far. Chicken with leek and chicken with shiso leave were my favorites. But everything I had was great.

The beef neck skewer is definitely something I'll have to dream for a long time time before eating something similar again. Cozy and small, very traditional Japanese. I ate 6 skewers, one set of sweet potato and 2 beers and spent 2,500. I had a great time here! (English speaking staff and menu are a major plus!)

Menu is in english too.. we ordered several skewers and some side dishes. All tasted very good.. pricing is affordable but not cheap. This place is well worth visiting. Just like every restaurant here... the beer is about 500 yen which is pretty costly.

We, a couple, waited around 10 - 15 mins before getting in but we learnt that some customers made a reservation. So recommend whoever reading the review to make a reservation too to avoid waiting outside the restaurant.
J	J T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was awesome! We ordered 16 sticks of yakitori plus 2 alcoholic drinks for two persons. Spent ¥2.8k incl tax here. Food is cheap and good. Chef speaks English and is extremely friendly and fun to chat to! Will come back again when we visit Kyoto in the future!

Everything is prepared to order quickly and relatively cheap, but most importantly delicious. Understands gluten free and spoke English really well. Would definitely return. Try the chicken skin and hearts, very delicious.

When I looked for yakitori near the Kyoto train station, I found Daikichi with an impressive score, five stars from all 22 visitors (at that time) who left comments. I told myself I must try it and called to make a reservation for the next day. I think the owner was surprised by the English speaking caller but the reservation was smooth. Food was great, and I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed the yuzu pepper flavored chicken especially and other dishes were also tasty. The owner was friendly. They have an English menu and a Chinese one. Be advised that they do have several other dishes, such as beef, that don't show up on those menus, but as a Japanese inset in the regular menu or on a kitchen board. You can use Google Translate to get a hint of what they offer or ask directly. Will definitely visit again next time I visit Kyoto.

This spot is casual, small (maybe 15 seats) and cozy. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching as our food was carefully prepared. We ordered an array of grilled and fried meats plus some sides... all were tasty and cooked to perfection. The owner was really friendly and warm - we’ll definitely be back!
