★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 猫淵川を挟んで、反対側の山に今の大法八幡神社（八幡宮または親しみを込めて八幡様とも）がありますが、もとはこちら側の山に大坊八幡神社（ボウの字が違う）はありました。今現在は、その名残を示すだけの小さな祠（ほこら）のみが残されています。
今は結構草が生い茂ってはいますが、少し開けた場所になっていて、歩き回ることは出来ます。祠の裏側には「弘化二年」と彫られており、西暦1850年頃に建てられたものだとわかります。
20年ほど前までは近所の子供達の遊び場でもあり、当時遊んでいた際に真っ白なヘビを見かけ、「神様の使いだ！」と騒いだものです。

It's pretty thick now, but it's a little open and you can walk around. The back side of the shrine is engraved with "Honoka 2nd year" and it can be seen that it was built around 1850 AD.
Until about 20 years ago, it was also a playground for nearby children, and when they were playing at the time, they saw a pure white snake and made a noise saying, "It's an angel of God!"
