★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible autumn colours , time it right and you wont want to leave. Good temple visit in summer too. Very green and fresh. Wintercslso brings beauty with the snow.
I visit here every season in Kyoto.
Though autumn seem gonna be besr to appeciate the Japanese maple trees colours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful and nice. The main place where the God is kept was open the day I visited it. Pretty calm. There was also a room where I could peacefully sit and meditate. I'd recommend you visit it during Autumn so you can enjoy the colors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful in Autumn. They have 2 heart-shaped water basins that are unique. There is also a gorgeous building where you can view (and purchase) small artwork get a drink and sweet. Pictures from December 3.
