★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location adjacent to the Path of Philosophy; perfect for refuelling before or after a visit to Ginkakuji. Offers delicious coffee and cheesecake in a tranquil atmosphere with a nice mix of tourists and locals. A comfortable spot to spend some time alone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cozy place to have matcha tea, coffee, ice cream, sandwiches or cake. The owners are really friendly and warm. Great place to drop by after a stroll along the romantic, serene Philosophers Path (Tetsugaku-no-michi) or after visiting Ginkakuji Silver Pavilion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic atmosphere Cafe with a refined taste. Cake and coffee set is delicious. Interior is impeccably set out and comfortable. Highly recommend visiting when walking the Philosopher's path, or whenever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little cafe situated near the philosopher's path. I stumbled upon this by accident, when I was tired and in search of a feed. Nice decor with antiques. Food is decent (I ordered a curry rice) and a black coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but so cosy n staff friendly!!! Love the deco inside!!! The toast m sandwich is good!!! Vienna coffee is smooth!!! V nice place for a break while walking at the philosopher path n especially enjoying the Sakura blooming .. one thg to note is they only accept cash payment ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably one of the few (if not the only one) cafés open from early morning (8 o'clock) around the Philosopher's Path. Went there at around 9 with our kids. This place has a retro, old school style with warm ambience. The owners are a grandma-grandpa couple with one male staff (I guess their son?). There are some tables inside and one or two small table outside. It's specialty is coffee based on the menu. We ordered one morning set (toast, boiled egg, drink), a pancake set, and a cup of coffee. All was devoured and tasted good.
