Ajigasawa is a central town on the Sea of Japan side in Aomori Prefecture. The color of the station building has been repainted, but in the past it was a flashy color scheme like this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅前にロータリーがあり割と賑わっていますが、よく見ると空き店舗がおおいね。有人駅で、観光案内所、レンタサイクルもあります。
以前、アップした鰺ヶ沢駅の写真が消えてしまったので、再投稿。
There is a rotary in front of the station and it is quite busy, but if you look closely, there are many vacant stores. It is a manned station, and there is also a tourist information center and a bicycle rental.
The photo of Ajigasawa station that I uploaded before has disappeared, so I reposted it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not so much a review of the station but rather this I'm recommending the hotate bento on the Resort Shirakami train. While not actually cheap. it was a superb ekiben lunch, and being that we were in the apple growing region of Aomori, the accompanying apple juice was a perfect pairing!
