We just stopped by here without even knowing what they were serving. We ended up eating yakinikuk style barbecue with loads of good meat. I especially liked the tounge, but all of the details tasted good. The service was good and while they only accept cash they were happy to guide us to the nearest ATM. The beer we had tasted good too.

Simply the best meat we've ever had, all in such a fun, energetic and amazing atmosphere, and for an attractive price! It's almost hard to believe such a perfect combination of a place exists. We came one year earlier during a previous trip to Japan and upon visiting the country again it was the meal we were most looking forward to in Kyoto, and it certainly lived up to our fond memories of it. Try to come early because there will be a line. English menu is available and members of the staff speak English too. The absolute best!! Already looking forward to my next time there.

Was looking for a Barbecue meat fix on a cold evening and found this stall. There was a queue to enter as many like-minded people waited for their fix. Ordered the cow cheek, beef belly and steak. All of the dishes were lovely after barbecuing it, the steak looked fat when raw but once cooked, melted in your mouth once and was not excessively oily. Only issue was that the English menu description of the food did not follow conventional naming of the beef parts but probably a direct translation of the Japanese words.

Worth visiting if you wanna have a fresh and tasty beef&organ of cattle. Very good reputation hits this barbecue res so a lot of people who would like to enjoy a authentic beef here would be making a queue just before opening the restaurant. A signature menu is “hoso ”which is one of the organic parts of cattle .that is so awesome. Price range is roughly between 3500-6000 per head.not so expensive,not so reasonable though... Basically opened at 6pm . They don’t offer all-you-can-eat menu,so you simply order what you want to eat looking at the menu. Atmosphere is really local vibes so if you are non Japanese or travelers,I recommend to pop into this place. Just get off “Gion-shijo station ” or “hankyu Shijo station ”.and walk to there.

Loved it here, it can be very busy and you might have to wait for a table but it's well worth the wait, the food is amazing and it's fun cooking your own meat. Check it out!

We had power-kobu, harami-engawa, tan, hot noodles and soup. Noodles are what you would cook yourself in a microwave. Meat was just average with too much fat, no marinade, just salt or hot sauce. If you have ever cooked on a barbecue, you can do better than this. Costed 5500 yen and all I got was a stomach ache.

Me and 3 friends came here for dinner. Their favorite menu is hoso and bara. To eat them, dont forget to order lettuce wrap, kimchi and moyashi rice. 4 of us cost 5600yen. It was 4 served of beef, side dish and drinks. I think it is not that expensive. By the way, the resto is always busy, so make sure to come early. They open from 4pm in the weekend and 6pm in the weekdays.
