T	Takeshi Kawaguchi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 早稲田大学正門から大隈重信像に向かうメイン通りの左側の一等地にあります。モダンな建物が多い中で、いかにも歴史を感じさせる外観です。内部は重厚で、隅々までこだわりを感じるデザインです。元々は図書館で２階が閲覧室だったそうです。完成は関東大震災から２年後の1925年で、鉄筋コンクリート造りは震災復興建築の代表例でもあります。尚、大震災では東大図書館も壊滅して蔵書もほとんど焼失し、ロックフェラーの援助で再建されました。會津八一氏は戦前早稲田大学で美術史の講義をされましたが、研究教育には実物の作品に接することが必須であるとして、私財を投じて東洋の古美術品を蒐集されました。博物館設立を提言されましたが、開館は氏の死去後の1998年です。多くのコレクションの寄贈を受けて内容は益々充実しつつあります。特別展、企画展に興味深いものが多く、展示品だけでなく作者の生涯に感銘を受けることが多いです。 It is located in a prime location on the left side of the main street from the main gate of Waseda University to the statue of Shigenobu Okuma. While there are many modern buildings, the exterior looks like history. The interior is solid and the design feels particular about every corner. Originally, the library had a reading room on the second floor. It was completed in 1925, two years after the Great Kanto Earthquake, and the reinforced concrete construction is a typical example of reconstruction architecture after the earthquake. In the Great Earthquake, the University of Tokyo Library was destroyed and most of the books were burned down, and it was rebuilt with the help of Rockefeller. Mr. Yaichi Aizu gave a lecture on art history at Waseda University before the war, but he invested his own money to collect oriental antiquities, saying that it is essential to come into contact with actual works for research and education. It was recommended to establish a museum, but it opened in 1998 after his death. With the donations of many collections, the content is becoming more and more fulfilling. Many of the special exhibitions and special exhibitions are interesting, and I am often impressed not only by the exhibits but also by the life of the artist.

I like the current building, but the old building has good curves. The balcony part of the room, which used to be the reading room of the old library, is very dreamy and wonderful.
久	久保修 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中央の階段を登ることは出来ないが、横山大観さんの明暗を見ることが出来て幸せだった。色々と展示物は変わるようなので調べてから行くと良い。 I couldn't climb the central stairs, but I was happy to see the light and darkness of Yokoyama Taikan. Exhibits may change in various ways, so it's a good idea to check them before you go.
高	高橋誠佑 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 図書館としての２号館から、會津八一記念館として、立ち上げまで関わらせていただいた者です。だいぶハイカラになって収蔵品、展示も様々になって来てとても感慨深いです。 This is the person who was involved in the process from the second building as a library to the launch of the Yaichi Aizu Memorial Hall. I am very impressed with the variety of collections and exhibits that have become quite high-colored.

ま	まる之 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 文化人が所蔵していたコレクションが展示された、とても落ち着いた無料の博物館です。建物も趣があります。主観ですが、展示物はかなり好みでした。また訪れたいと思います。 It is a very calm and free museum with a collection of cultural figures on display. The building is also quaint. It's subjective, but I really liked the exhibits. I would like to visit again.
M	Mike Okamura on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 早大名誉教授の秘蔵コレクション、主に日本及び中国の美術品が展示してある。例えば古墳時代の動物の埴輪など、直感的に見て楽しめる物もある。ただ時代やテーマの幅が広いため、日中の歴史、美術史に対する教養がある方はより楽しめると感じた。館内の写真撮影は禁止。
