★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鹽竈神社別当法蓮寺は室町時代後半の創建といわれます。現況は旧法蓮寺の東端に位置していた書院と書院に至る玄関及び広間からなっています。幸運にも明治４年の廃寺に撤去をまぬがれ、明治９年６月明治天皇の東北巡幸の際の行在所となりました。しかし、明治11年民間に売却され料亭として利用されましたが、昭和36年再び鹽竈神社の所有となりました。勝画楼は「画にもまさる楼」の意をもって仙台藩５代藩主伊達吉村によって命名されたといわれています。
Shiogama Shrine Betto Horenji Temple is said to have been built in the latter half of the Muromachi period. The current situation consists of the Shoin, which was located at the eastern end of the former Horenji Temple, and the entrance and hall leading to the Shoin. Fortunately, it survived the removal of the temple in the 4th year of the Meiji era, and became the place of residence for the Emperor Meiji's Tohoku tour in June 1897. However, although it was sold to the private sector in 1891 and used as a restaurant, it became the property of Shiogama Shrine again in 1958. It is said that the Katsugarou was named by Date Yoshimura, the fifth feudal lord of the Sendai Domain, with the meaning of "a tower that surpasses paintings."

It is said that the lord of Sendai cleansed himself here during the Edo period, but it is currently off limits. Sorry.
