★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 十六羅漢とは16体の阿羅漢(仏道を修業した人)のことで、ここには16体の阿羅漢像に5体の如来像を加えた計21体の石像が敷地の四辺を囲むように置かれています。
元々は宗龍寺というお寺があったのですが、明治維新後廃寺になった末火災に遭い石像を残すだけとなったようです。
21体の石像にぐるっと囲まれるのは何とも不思議な体験でしたが、隣には小さいながらも児童遊園もあり、近所に住む方々に愛されてる場所のようです。

公園と言っても近くのお寺さん管理下にある公園とのことです。

飢饉の際、亡くなった方を供養する為に造られたらしい。
公園で遊ぶ子供を見守ってる風にも見えてほっこりした。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little park near a 711 so you can get some snacks, sit in the park and enjoy your time. The central play structure is unique, there is grass and dirt areas, and there is a toilet in the corner of the park which seems to be popular among taxi drivers.
