1階は無料開放、2階が歴史文化館です。落ち着いた雰囲気で、ゆったりとした雰囲気で、岩手文化を学べます。下北半島まで盛岡県だったとは・・・知りませんでした。
The first floor is open for free, and the second floor is the History and Culture Museum. You can learn about Iwate culture in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. I didn't know that Morioka prefecture was up to the Shimokita Peninsula.

It's more spectacular than I had imagined! ️ To be honest, I was licking ... I thought it was boring. It's a place where you can have a good time. On the first floor, you can enjoy the video on the exhibition of Chagu Chagu Umakko and festival floats for free. On the second floor, there is an exhibition of the history of the southern Morioka domain and armor, and it is exciting to reproduce the townscape. You can also see the images of Morioka in the Taisho era, so it is recommended that you have plenty of time to go. It is a place where you can spend a meaningful time with fun and rare items while looking at the assortment of museum shops.

A museum of the city’s local culture. The first floor has a few installations which is free to visit, and the second floor is a permanent exhibition of their own culture like their ancient connection to the world and their bandwagons, which costs ¥300 to enter and you could spend half an hour here for a brief visual presentation of the city.

A good place to visit once, or if they have a special exhibition. The first floor is free and showcases events special to Morioka such as Sansa or the Autumn Matsuri. The second floor costs ¥300 for adults, and has more rooms detailing Iwate/Morioka’s history, as well as the special exhibition. Enjoy some traditional snacks and gift shop on the lower level. You can also make a candle with images of Morioka’s icons (eg: ishiwarizakura, morioka castle park, wanko soba, etc.).

The free section was good enough for me, with some displays and videos playing. I learned some history of the city's festival, and there's a nice souvenir shop.

Surprisingly good! The first floor is free. There is a cafe, gift shop and some displays where you can learn about the festivals of Morioka. The second floor costs 300 yen and displays the history of Morioka and a special exhibit. Definitely recommend, even if you just watch the videos of life in Morioka in 1923. There isn't a lot of English signage, but I was surprised by the quality of the displays. You can also see a pocket watch and pistol given to the Nambu clan by Queen Victoria for helping some sailors.
