近くの犀ヶ崖資料館に駐車場があるので、そちらを利用しました。(駐車場は17時まで)
 Parking is not possible because there is a bus stop.
There is a parking lot in the nearby Saiga-cliff Museum, so we used that. (Parking until 17 o'clock)

浜松では、戦いの日々。三方ヶ原の戦いでは惨敗し苦労の連続だったとか。
そんな中、家臣には恵まれ、自分の為に命を落とした夏目氏の碑が此処に。
地域の方がいつも手入れされ、きれいになっています。
ちなみに家康が、負け戦で逃げて身を隠した木が八幡宮の境内にあります。

犀ケ崖資料館へ行かれた際には、直ぐ近くにあるので是非行ってみてください。
It is a large monument on the left, about 50 meters north of Shiga Cliff.
If you go to the Shiga Cliff Museum, it's just around the corner, so be sure to try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浜松は、徳川家康29才から45才まで17年間を過ごしていた居城でしたので、数々の逸話も残っています。その中でも、家康唯一の惨敗と言われてる三方ヶ原の戦いが一番有名でしょう。
敗走してきた家康の身代わりとなり、討死した夏目吉伸の忠義を讃えた碑です。大きくて立派な碑です。
夏目吉伸は夏目漱石の祖先と言われています。
Hamamatsu was a residence where Ieyasu Tokugawa spent 17 years from the age of 29 to 45, so many anecdotes remain. Among them, the battle of Mikatagahara, which is said to be the only defeat of Ieyasu, is probably the most famous.
It is a monument praising the loyalty of Yoshinobu Natsume, who took the place of Ieyasu who had been defeated and died. It is a large and magnificent monument.
Yoshinobu Natsume is said to be the ancestor of Soseki Natsume.
