That's because people who had had severe pain and injury in their body used to be cured completely after visiting the forest and didn't need their sticks any more. Beside that old interesting story, it was a nice park. In fact you must be dissapponited with so called 'hot spring', you'll feel much better here.
Y	Yusuke Yoda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place in autumn. It's 10-20 minutes walk from central Arima area. From central Arima, it's all the way uphill. So I don't recommend, trying to go with your heavy luggage.
L	Lex Kozure Ōkami on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous in the fall. I highly recommend going there in November, the leaves and foliage are so vibrant with reds, yellows and orange. It is a great stop if you on your way from Rokko Mountain. It's definitely worth a look and there is a station about ten minutes away.
