You can also purchase Rokkosan Tourist Pass if you plan to visit other attractions such as Music Box Museum etc.

I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and being fit, because you have to "climb" the hill and there are various stairs. Chair lift hardly ever works, I came twice and both times it didn't work. There is also a lake where you can feed the fish (¥ 100) There is free parking right in front of the entrance. If you want, you can get to the Garden Terrace from here.
