★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 店主さんがとても気さくな方で、お土産物の選び方を教えていただきました。
アイスクリームが美味しいとのことでしたが、大雪の中で、とても寒かったので、こ温泉饅頭を一ついただきましたが、ちゃんと餡子の味がして、混ざり物のエグ味も無く、美味しかったです。
この後、温泉街のお土産物屋で購入して食べ比べましたが、暖かいのは良いのですが、味が薄く、なんだかぱっとせず、湯元さんでいただいたお饅頭がまた食べたくなりました。
翌日、再度湯元さんに伺い、浅漬けの野沢菜をお土産に買って帰りましたが、これまで食べた物の中で、一番美味しかったです。

ご主人は、俳句の先生で全国に100人程お弟子さんがいます。とても楽しい方です。
私も俳句勉強させてもらおうかと思っております。では一句、湯沢温泉にて「湯けむりのソフトに誘われ人集う」
また、松代焼の素敵な焼き物が並んでいます。一輪挿しの素敵な花瓶 買わせて頂きました。

観光地の土産物店って客慣れしてて素っ気ない店員さんが多いけど、ここのご夫婦は本当に気さくで良い雰囲気。
ソフトクリームもオススメされたけど、寒かったので土産物をみてると『これが美味しい』とか『こんなの有る』とか教えてくれて、それが儲け商売っ気じゃ無くて心地良い！
というか、普通にお話し上手ですね…
オリジナルという『湯元温泉まんぢう』9個入990円と野沢菜漬け500円を購入。
食べ歩き用にバラの饅頭100円も買って店前でいただきましたが、お話し通りシットリしてて流石の逸品。
粒あんの甘みとご夫婦の優しさで、大釜の湯気を眺めながら
『あぁ、温泉街に来たんだなぁ…』
ってホッコリしました！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The couple who run this little shop are so lovely go in with them and try "Japan's number one soft serve". The soft serve is actually suprisingly good and the atmosphere in their little gift shop is really cool.
The man in there is pretty funny and fun to have a chat with.
