標高800m、葛巻町・久慈市にまたがる平庭岳の中腹に位置する広大な平庭高原は、県立自然公園に指定された風光明媚な場所。春の使者、カタクリなどの湿原植物に始まり、初夏の緑まぶしい白樺林、高原一帯に咲き誇るツツジ、秋の紅葉、冬のスキーと、一年を通して大自然を満喫できる高原です。
夏はスキー場でパークゴルフが楽しめます。
７月中旬頃は姫ホタルが見れます。

Located on the hillside of Mt. Hiraniwa, which straddles Kuzumaki Town and Kuji City at an altitude of 800 m, the vast Hiraniwa Plateau is a scenic place designated as a prefectural natural park. Beginning with marsh plants such as spring messengers and katakuri, it is a plateau where you can enjoy nature all year round, with bright green birch forests in early summer, azaleas blooming all over the plateau, autumn leaves, and winter skiing.
In summer, you can enjoy park golf at the ski resort.
You can see the princess fireflies around mid-July.

闘牛はここから全国に出て行くそうです。
There is a bullring in the white birch forest and ski area
Honshu Tohoku seems to be only here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 空気のキレイな所です。短角牛のステーキがめちゃ美味しかったです！レストランは、ラーメンも有名なようです。なかなか行けませんが、行ける時があったらチャレンジしたいです。近くで闘牛がやっています。開催日程がありますので、都合のいい方は、是非観られてはいかがでしょうか？
It's a beautiful place in the air. The shorthorn beef steak was really good! The restaurant seems to be famous for ramen. I can't go easily, but I would like to challenge if I can. A bullfight is doing nearby. There is a schedule, so if you find it convenient, why don't you watch it?

今回のジンギスカン定食(写真は２人前)、予想外のボリュームにビックリ。テーブルのグリルでセルフ焼き方式です。適度な厚みにカットされているので焼き加減に悩まなくてもさっと焼き上がります。
タレは甘じょっぱく絶妙な旨さ。肉がドンドン食べられますよ。
次回はジンギスカンをリピートするか、短角牛を選ぶか悩んでしまいます。どちらも美味い！
The last time I stopped by, I had a shorthorn beef steak.
I was surprised at the unexpected volume of this Genghis Khan set meal (pictured for 2 people). It is a self-baking method on the table grill. Since it is cut to an appropriate thickness, it can be baked quickly without worrying about how much it is baked.
The sauce is sweet and salty and exquisite. You can eat meat.
Next time, I'm wondering whether to repeat Genghis Khan or choose shorthorn beef. Both are delicious!
