★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 近くのお寺に北上川の源泉「ゆはずの泉」があります。ここ自体は吹き抜けの大きな東屋で、冬季間はトイレも閉鎖になるので、道の駅のようなものではありません。
At a nearby temple, there is the source of the Kitakami River, "Yusen no Izumi". This is an eastern house with a large atrium, and the toilets are closed during the winter, so it is not like a roadside station.

9月半ば過ぎに行ったのですが、水辺にはオニヤンマやギンヤンマが飛んでいて、男の子なら大興奮かと思われます！
虫取り網が有れば尚良し！
小川や池に落ちない様に遊んで下さい！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国道４号を通るたび「北上川源流」の看板が気になっていたので、10年越しで探索してきました。貴重な時間を割いて行くと大抵がっかりスポットになるため、今回は時間に余裕があって行ってきました。
結論から申し上げるとリピートするほどではありませんが、一度は寄ってみる価値は「有り」だと思います。
公共事業で整備した駐車場やトイレやミニ公園もあり、肝心の御堂も古くて立派で、観光客もそれなりに尽きることなく集まっていましたし、鐘楼の鐘も突き放題で気持ちが良かったです。
ただし、肝心要の「弓弭の泉」（ゆずはのいずみ）の場所を見落としてしまい、駐車場の看板を見てから、もう一度御堂に上がって見つけました。無粋な工事用の赤白ガード柵が設けられ工事中の何かとスルーしてしまったようです。
Every time I passed National Route 4, I was worried about the sign of "Kitakami River Source", so I searched for over 10 years. This time I've had plenty of time to spare because it's usually a disappointment if you spend precious time.
In conclusion, it's not enough to repeat, but I think that it's worth visiting once.
There were parking lots, toilets and mini parks maintained by public works, and the main Mido was old and splendid, tourists gathered endlessly, and the bells of the bell tower were all-you-can-eat and it felt good. .
However, I overlooked the place of the important "Yumano Izumi", looked at the signboard of the parking lot, and went up to Mido again to find it. It seems that it has passed through something under construction with a red and white guard fence for unconventional construction.

何も無い駐車場です。?
しいて言うなら、公園ですネ?

暖かい日はここでお弁当食べるのも良さげ
