★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty small bath but very popular due to the high regard the hot spring water is held. It is coming out of the spring source a few hundred meters away. Cheap and a good soak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a famous onsen but very small and gets very busy and crowded during the weekends, public holidays and from 4.30pm during the week. At the wash stations there are only bowls and no shower hoses so can be difficult. There is complimentary shampoo and body wash and it is clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice onsen, but very small, maybe 10 people at once are already too many. It takes 10 min walking from the Gala Yuzawa station. 500¥ entrance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe the most ghetto onsen I've been to. No view. Onsen is about 2m x 3m. Tiny. No shower handle. Separate cold and hot water faucet to wash from, so you get un-even water temperature. Constant pushing to refill bowl to rinse. Changing room was tiny too. The obaasan just kept allowing more people to come in. There were about 12 people coming in while I was leaving. Ridiculous.
