保護室で夜に眠剤を飲む事を拒否した患者に対して、翌朝に昨日飲まなかった薬の代わりだからと言い無抵抗な患者に二人係で馬乗りになりリスパダールコンスタを無理やり注射して更に飲み合わせの悪いとされているインヴェガを投与するといった虐待が平然と行われている病院。
他にも保護室ではアルツハイマーの老人に対して暴力を振るうなど、人としての尊厳が保たれない環境であった。このように精神医療業界では障害者を人として扱わないような環境がまかり通っている。
このような環境で一人でも多くの人に自由を与えようとした植松聖の行動は間違っていただろうか。少なくとも社会が障害者に対して人としての尊厳を無視した扱いをしている現状と不幸を振り撒く障害者の実情を知っている人間からすれば植松聖は自然な行動をとったと分かるだろう。

５～６件精神関係の病院やクリニックを転々としましたが、最終的に和合病院のドクターが一番親身に診察してもらえました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 愛知県では紘仁病院の次に大きな精神病院です。愛知の２大精神病院の一つだと思います。正直に言うと、おすすめできません。
紘仁病院と同様に、行政上の「困った人」など、どこの病院も受け入れない患者を受け入れています。生活保護で長期入院していて退院できない患者も多く、環境は良くないです。親子２代にわたって生活保護で入院している人もいます。
紘仁病院と同じく、名古屋市にある生活保護施設の植田寮まで送迎バスが運行されています。
