★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こちらは、平安末期の武将であった桐生六郎の館跡であると言われています。
寿永2年(1183年)源為義の三男で、頼朝には叔父に当たる志田義広は、常陸国で鎌倉幕府打倒の兵を挙げました。
もともと頼朝の呼びかけに応じず、機を窺っていた義広は、足利俊綱、忠綱父子を誘い、鎌倉へ向かって大軍を進発させました。
この軍勢のなかには、俊綱の家人であった桐生六郎も加わっていました。
義広は小山氏にも声をかけ、小山氏も同心すると言って義広を喜ばせましたが、これは真っ赤な偽りでした。
野木宮まで進軍した義広は、にわかに裏切った小山朝政、朝光らに不意を打たれ、大混乱のうちに潰走しました。
このとき、足利忠綱は上野国山上郷まで逃れたあと、九州へ向かって落ちのびました。
忠綱に従う者は、桐生六郎ただ一人でしたが、ひそかに彼は鎌倉に通じており、主君の首を打って頼朝に差し出し、御家人に加えてくれるよう願い出ました。
これを聞いた頼朝は怒り、ただちに六郎の首を打つよう命じ、二つの首はならんで曝されたといいます。
のちに柄杓山城を築いた桐生氏は、六郎の後裔であることを恥じ、出自を藤原秀郷系の足利氏であるとしたとも言われているそうです(;_;)/~~~
いまは昔を偲ばせる土累が、わずかに残っていました(^_^ゞ

The person who obeyed the loyalty was Ryuuro Kiryu alone, but he went to Kamakura secretly, and beat the head of the lord and offered it to Yoritomo, and he wished to be added to the family.
Upon hearing this, Yoritomo got angry and ordered that he immediately hit the neck of Rokurou, and the two necks were said to have been exposed side by side.
It is said that Mr. Yayoi, who later built Sugamoyama Castle, was ashamed of being a successor to Rokuro, and was also said to have started his own by Ashikaga of Fujiwara Hideto ((__)

現在は、梅原薬師堂があり周囲を土塁が囲んでいます。
