がらん【まこと】“がらん” on Google
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 高津戸峡の左岸道路に面していて、高津戸峡から登った要害山散策路の入り口にあります。柵とは古代の城で、要害山に平安末の承徳・康和年間に山田氏によって築かれたといいます。鎌倉時代に山田氏が滅ぶと里見氏が入り天正4年に上杉氏に打たれるまで続いたそうです。
碑は倒れて断裂したものが継がれています。明治23年（1890）成瀬大域の撰・書(和文)、井龜泉鐫。「上野国山田郡高津戸の柵」にはじまり「いまもいくさのとよミとそきく」で終る。

 It faces the left bank road of Takatsudo Gorge and is located at the entrance of the Mt. The fence is an ancient castle, and it is said that it was built by Mr. Yamada during the Chengde and Kouwa years at the end of the Heian period. When Mr. Yamada died in the Kamakura period, Mr. Satomi entered and continued until he was struck by Mr. Uesugi in the 4th year of Tensho.
The monument has fallen and torn. In 1890, the selection and calligraphy (Japanese) of the Naruse area, Izumi Tetsu. It starts with "Fence of Takatsudo, Yamada-gun, Kozuke" and ends with "Ikusano Toyomi and Sokiku".
