★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千光寺から尾道美術館へ向かう途中にあり、ここからの尾道水道の眺めは最高です。
ゴム製のハンマーが置いてあり叩いてみると音がします。叩きすぎて穴ができていました。
It is on the way from Senkoji Temple to the Onomichi Museum of Art, and the view of the Onomichi Suido from here is the best.
There is a rubber hammer on it and it makes a sound when you hit it. I hit it too much and there was a hole.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千光寺第2の巨岩、たたくとポンポンと音がするげな。大林宣彦監督の映画「おかしなふたり」、「ある夏の日」のロケ地になったんじゃと。ここから向島や、その裏の島々の峰がよく見える。海峡をたらたら航行する船をながめのんびりくつろぐもよし。左右を見渡し、誰もいないことを確認して、「海が好き！島が好き！」と絶叫するもよし。
The second huge rock of Senkoji, the sound of popping and popping. It became the filming location for the movies “Oshishina Futari” directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi and “A Summer Day”. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鼓岩は別名ポンポン岩と呼ばれ、岩の上を石で打つと「ポンポン」と鼓のような音がします。
右側の岩の傷は大阪城築城の時、石垣材として搬出すべく割りかけたノミの跡といわれています。
巨大な岩の上から間近に見える景色が素晴らしい。
確かに小槌で叩くとそこだけポンポンと音がしますが
どちらかと言うと叩かれすぎて岩が丸く凹んでいるのに驚きました。

『鼓岩』は叩くとポンポンと鼓のような音がするため、ポンポン岩とも呼ばれています。
岩に固定されたハンマーで叩くとポンポンという軽くて乾いたような音がしました。
また瀬戸内海が見渡せる絶景スポットとしても有名です。
岩には安全のための柵などはないので、景色を眺める時はお気をつけください。
I visited on March 4, 2009.
"Tsumiiwa" is also called "tsuzumiiwa" because it makes a popping sound when hit.
When I hit it with a hammer fixed to the rock, I heard a light and dry sound.
It is also famous as a scenic spot overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.
There are no safety fences on the rocks, so be careful when looking at the scenery.
