★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 通称は宮中八幡といい宮床田手岡館伊達氏の氏神だった社で、案内によると、古来八幡宮が祀られていましたが、長徳元年(995)、宮内少輔が京都の賀茂明神を勧請し、宮中大明神として祀りました。
さらに、鴇田淡路実清が信州より諏訪明神を勧請して宮中八幡に祀りました。
その後代々の伊達藩主からも篤い崇敬を受け、享保15年(1730)藩主吉村公が八幡宮を造営しました。
別当は羽黒派当村修験鶴峯山正善院でしたが、社殿は、明治9年の山火事で焼失してしまいました。
境内社の鳴上賀茂明神宮は、安永3年(1774)の「黒川郡宮床村風土記御用書出」によると式内社・須伎神社と比定されたようです。

ゴミが不法投棄されているためか、本来の入口の参道への道は封鎖されています。
参拝へは、脇道の杉林の中の道を辿っていきます。
杉林の道は手入れされていて、普通に歩けます。
杉林から本来の参道に辿り着き、参道の石段を上がると古くて小さいな社殿に行きつきます。
国道457号線沿いです。近くでクマとバイクの衝突事故も起きているので、朝や夕方のお参りは控えたほうが良いかもしれません。

須伎神社は当社に合祀、または境内社の鳴上賀茂明神神社であるという説がある。
境内入口の由緒案内によると次のとおり。
古来、ここには八幡宮があった。そこに長徳元年（995）に宮内少輔が京都の賀茂明神の御幣をもって鶴ヶ峯に勧請し、宮中大明神として祀った。
鴇田淡路実清が斯波宮内大輔氏直（黒川氏）の家臣となり、信州より諏訪明神を勧請して、宮中八幡に祀った。

少々ややこしいが、奥州斯波氏は足利氏の流れを汲む名門。陸奥黒川氏は斯波一門の大崎氏分家の最上氏の一族。その黒川氏の初代は氏直である。
台風の影響で小雨降る中、参拝。石段がしっとりと濡れていて、とても美しいのだが、ツルツルに滑りやすく、慎重に登る。
境内には小さな祠が一つあって、これが境内社の鳴上賀茂明神神社だろう。
