毎年12月14日に開催されるお祭りはコロナの為、
今年は中止だそうです。
まず目に入ったのは朱塗の門❗️社殿は地元の氏神様らしくひっそりと佇たづんでいる感じです。
神社の隣にあった武道館も雰囲気があって素敵✨
でした❗️

The first thing I noticed was the vermilion gate ❗️ The shrine is quietly standing like a local Ujigami.
The Budokan next to the shrine also has a nice atmosphere ✨

普段は誰も居ないようでしたが、たまたま雪かきをしていたので御朱印を頂きました。
It is a famous place for Shimada candy.
It seemed that no one was there normally, but I happened to be shoveling snow, so I received a red stamp.

立派な神社です。歴史を感じます。
神馬像も有りました。白馬です。

島田あめまつり、行って来ました。凄い行列で、島田飴を交換する木札を購入するまで、2時間並びました。こんなに有名だと知りませんでした。御利益が有ります様に！
The scenery outside and inside the precincts was good.
I went to Shimada Ame Festival. It was a great procession, and they were lined up for two hours before purchasing a wooden card to exchange Shimada candy. I didn't know it was so famous. May you benefit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仙台藩祖伊達政宗の三男宗清が、居城を下草から吉岡に移したのに伴い、元和4年(1618年)に現在の地に移され、黒川郡の総鎮守社となりました。
重厚な随身門は、明和元年(1764年)の建立となっています。
社殿は、本殿と拝殿とを石の間でつないだ石の間造(権現造)で、宮城県指定有形文化財でしたが、昭和62年(1987年)に落雷で焼失。
平成元年に再建されました。

伊達政宗三男宗清が遷宮させ、黒川郡総鎮守としました。
いつの時代の神主さんかわかりませんが、
お嫁に行く、女性を見初め恋煩いをおこして病になり伏せたところを、村人達がお嫁さんの結っていた島田結の形の飴細工を供えたところ、神主さんは快癒したそうです。
いつの時代も、人の心はかくもあって、面白いですね。
いまは、その由縁にて
縁結びの神さまになっておられます。
