松永久秀は幕府の直臣（信長の家臣ではなく、義昭の家臣）となり、大和一国を「切り取り次第」とされた（『足利季世記』）。久秀は、郡山辰巳衆を統率して筒井城に迫り、順慶は叔父の福住順弘の下へと落ちのびた。10月10日には、信長の応援軍の佐久間信盛、細川藤孝の2万が来軍し、両軍で大和を制圧し始める。福住城にいた順慶だが、元亀元年（1570年）に十市遠勝の死によって内訌を生じた十市城を攻め落とし、さらに松永方の城となっていた窪之庄城を奪回

Matsunaga Hisahide became a direct vassal of the Shogunate (not Nobunaga's vassal, but Yoshiaki's vassal), and was said to be "as soon as he cut out" Yamato Ichikuni ("Ashikaga Kiseiki"). Hisahide led Tatsumi Koriyama and approached Tsutsui Castle, and Junkei fell under his uncle, Nobita Fukuzumi. On October 10, 20,000 of Nobunaga's supporters, Sakuma Nobumori and Hosokawa Fujitaka, came to the army and both armies began to control Yamato. Junkei was in Fukuzumi Castle, but in the first year of Kame (1570), he attacked Toichi Castle, which had a secret due to the death of Tokachi Tokatsu, and regained Kubonosho Castle, which had become Matsunaga's castle.
