山頂からは田上から西蒲方面一望できますが新潟市や五泉方面も見える場所あります。

標高約260メートルと小学生でも登れる山、辺り一帯はあじさいの一大群生地として有名で特に梅雨時が美しい紫陽花を見ながら登山ができる。
昆虫の宝庫としても知られており、各種クワガタやカブトムシの他オオムラサキやヤママユ等も見られる。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ サクッと登って気持ちよく帰れるちょうどいい山。２月だとさすがに頂上付近は雪がまだ多く滑りやすかったです。
