I tried five items: chicken stuffed bell peppers, salted drum, salted thigh, salted knee, and salted skin (I'm clearly not one for glazed meat). If I had to find a downside to Torikizoku, it's that the chicken stuffed bell peppers and the salted thigh were two of few options that involved vegetables. No grilled shishito peppers? At least all of the meats were delicious. The drum and thigh were tender and juicy, the knee had both chewy and crunchy pieces, and the skin was greasy and full of chicken flavor. But I still wanted some grilled shishito peppers in the end.

Food was good service was good. Our time was just waiting for a long time and we still enjoyed ourself. They tried to make us leave by putting the cold air con but I loved it. Saturday night in Shinjuku-Ku is crazy. We did enjoyed ourselves and it was fun. Ask them for no alcohol drinks.

Seating is tight, which is common in Japan. You can smoke inside, which is either a pro or con depending on your preference. Come with your friends.

Be sure to ask for the English menu as their tablet doesn't have English as an option. My favorite was definitely the salted chicken thigh. The thigh has enough fat that leaves it moist and juicy along with providing lots of flavor. The runner-up was the salted chicken skin. Super flavorful, slightly crispy, and perfect when paired with the cooked rice. Everything was slightly under 300 yen per order. Be sure to get an alcoholic drink instead of soda - they're the same price! Yuzu and honey highball was our drink of choice.

I especially enjoyed the shio chicken wings, potato salad and chicken skin! This place is tourist friendly cos the ordering is done via ipad with english descriptions. Waited for about 35mins on Thursday evening at 8plus pm.

If you want happy noisy then enjoy - I needed a MEGA Premium Malts (4-500cc mug) when we finally got a table. If you'd rather avoid the queue, come before 5pm? Best chips this trip - could've just eaten those. We were hungry after the 1 hour wait and ordered too much, but struggled through somehow. In the raucous environment, suggest start with a MEGA beer ? and everything else will be good.
