摺沢城は摺沢地区東側の丘陵突端に築かれた平山城です。摺沢は陸前高田、盛岡、一ノ関、気仙沼に繋がる交通の要衝に位置しており、交通の重要な拠点です。築城時期・築城主体ともに不明ですが、一説には承久３（１２２１）年、葛西清親に従って陸奥に下向した岩淵重政が摺沢城を築いたという説があります。また、千葉氏の一族が摺沢城に居住していたものを、後に南北朝期頃に岩淵氏曽慶系がこれにとって代わったという説もあります。また『安俵小原系図』には天文年間（１５３２－５５年）頃、摺沢筑前守信定の娘が安俵玄蕃忠秀の室になったことが記されており、天正１９（１５９１）年に勃発した「葛西大崎一揆」には、一揆勢に加担した摺沢将監、摺沢出雲守の名が見られ、城主あるいは一族と推測できます。

Surisawa Castle is a Hirayama castle built at the tip of a hill on the east side of the Surisawa district. Risawa is an important transportation hub as it is located at the key point of transportation that connects Rikuzentakata, Morioka, Ichinoseki and Kesennuma. Although the date of construction and the subject of construction are unknown, one theory is that in 1221, Shigemasa Iwabuchi, who descended to Mutsu following Kiyochika Kasai, built Surisawa Castle. There is also a theory that the family of Mr. Chiba, who lived in Surisawa Castle, was later replaced by Mr. Iwabuchi's Sokekei system around the Northern and Northern Dynasties. In addition, "Awawara Ohara Genealogy" describes that the daughter of Noributari Chikuzen Morizawa became the room of Genbada Tadahide Awara during the Astronomical Year (1532-55), and it broke out in 1951. In Kasai Osaki Ichiroku, you can see the names of Surisawa Izumo Mamoru and Suisawa Mamoru, who played a part in the 1st activity, and can be inferred to be the castle owner or a family.
