★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place. It was raining when we went, so our views were covered but it was still a nice way to spend an afternoon. We enjoyed feeding the ducks and fish the most.
The timetable were not strictly followed, they would go if there were enough people to fill a boat. They didn't speak English, but we managed to survive. There are restaurants nearby to eat before or after the ride. The train to/from Geibikei station is infrequent so it's best to check the schedule.
Measures were in place for the virus, there were alcohol spray around the ticket booth area. Masks were worn by everyone, including staff and river guides.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter - each season enjoyable with nature color.
Boat start every 1hour. (Should be there 10min before)
It takes about 80-90min.
Admission fee is 1800yen(adult).
Boat captain explain scenery with Japanese jokes sometime.
I went there in Jan with 3years old kids, quite enjoyable with feeding spot-billed duck.
The best season would be Autumn with beautiful colored leaves, or May with new green leaves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful place not to be missed if you like natural scenery. We came during the winter time when lunch was served on the boat. The boats had heaters under the tables with blankets to cover your feet so you won’t feel cold at all. It was such a special experience. Tip: Booking the boat trip was not that easy if you don’t speak Japanese. I did it using Jalan.com after running into some bumps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a peaceful place. 90 min boat ride with lots of surprises. It is available for all year around but my favorite is fall foliage which is end of October. Car parking is 500 yen and boat ride is 1800 yen per adult. It is worth it. Highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is peaceful and beautiful, but the boat ride wasn't as great as expected mainly due to the top covering of the heated boats in winter. Could not enjoy the panoramic view. View was limited to whatever we could see from the boat windows. But the snow covered gorge is a view worth watching.

Buy 50円 fish food and pass the time, since the boat ride will last for more than an hour, you should be ready.
The person who navigate the boat will sing a song which was so beautiful,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice ride through the river in a boat. Its magical if it snows. The boatsmen kepp you entertained throughout the journey. There's duck food to feed the ducks swimming alongside.
The boat stops at a point in half n hour and you can roam about for a while before the ride back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During winter and covid they cover the boats to keep the snow out. There are heated tables and blankets for you to use while on the tour, you can also buy duck food to feed the menu ducks ? you will encounter on the river.
Overall a really fun and unique 45 minute experience. Not easy to get to with train and bus, but not impossible.
