The therapist is greatly skilled and knows exactly what she is doing even if she does not speak Japanese. My American friend had to get a massage during our trip to Japan since her back hurt, and even though they did not speak during the massage, the masseur knew exactly where it hurt and how to fix it. Afterwards her back felt better for the rest of our trip. A total gem and lucky find for us. I was worried about my friend who can not speak Japanese, but even if I didn't use words with the masseur, I could understand where I felt pain at the waist. We have wonderful massage technology and it was a happy discovery above all at a reasonable price. A friend said that he would like to take him for the rest of his trip. I asked them if I needed to pay something in advance but they said it's fine and just show up. Three hours later I was told there was no availability nor a reservation for me available. The place looks promising though.

The place looks a little sketchy at first, as it was located inside a comic cafe, but it was a wonderful session at an affordable price. Non of the staff is able to communicate in English but it wasn't a problem for us. The therapist is very skillful coupled with the relaxing music and ambience, I fell asleep in no time. 10/10 would visit again if we are back in Kyoto.
