★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 札所二十一番から二十二番方面に歩くと薬師堂がらある。そこを右に折れると江戸古道巡礼道となり、しばらく歩くと峠道に合流する。道端にいまや草木に覆われてはいるものの、明らかに人為的な平地があり、ここがかつて童子堂があったところ。童子堂跡地である。整然と植林されたその奥に小さな祠が残っている。草木に隠れているようだけれど、礎石も残っているという。周辺には、小さなお社や、まだ見た目には新しいお地蔵さまもある。
この地に1702年以降200年に渡って童子堂が建っていた。跡地前に建てられた案内板には、貴重な当時の写真も載せられている。この写真によれば、現在の童子堂と茅葺きの仁王門はこの地から移築されたものであることがわかる。
If you walk from the 21st to the 22nd of the Fudasho, you will find the Yakushido. If you turn right there, it becomes the Edo Kodo pilgrimage road, and after walking for a while, it joins the pass road. Although the roadside is now covered with vegetation, there is clearly an artificial flat land, where the Dojido used to be. It is the site of Dojido. A small shrine remains behind the well-planted trees. It seems to be hidden in vegetation, but the cornerstone remains. There are also small shrines and Jizo statues that are still new to the surrounding area.
Dojido was built here for 200 years after 1702. The information board built in front of the site also contains valuable photographs of the time. According to this photo, the current Dojido and thatched-roof Niomon were relocated from this area.
